As people continue to live longer, home care continues to change in Missouri.
The Medicaid program is now Missouri Health Net as of 2007. Case managers at the state level are now being replaced by home
care nurses. It is now more difficult to be brought into the program because you have to be sicker than in years past. Several
thousands of people who have lost their services in 2006 still do not know if they will ever receive their services again.
In the Dept. of Mental Health program, the grant money is now following the patient.
